I first studied watercolor three decades ago, in high school. At some point I realized I enjoy the juxtaposition of translucent watercolor and opaque ink. Some combination of these two are the stuff of my dreams. They are quick if not always forgiving. They force me to balance planfulness and spontaneity. They have been my friends and partners for as long as I can remember.
